Father Defends IAS Officer Puja Khedkar Amid Controversy Over Transfer
Dilip Khedkar, father of Puja Khedkar, the probationary IAS officer who was recently transferred from Pune, has come forward to defend his daughter amidst the controversy surrounding her transfer. Speaking exclusively to India Today TV, Dilip Khedkar refuted the allegations against Puja and emphasized that she is facing harassment without any valid reason.
Puja Khedkar, a 2023-batch IAS officer belonging to the Maharashtra cadre, has been at the center of a storm following accusations of misusing her authority by demanding a separate office, car, and accommodation before assuming her role as Assistant Collector in Pune.
During the interview, Dilip Khedkar vehemently defended Puja’s actions, particularly highlighting her request for a designated workspace. He emphasized that asking for a space to sit should not be construed as a mistake, and expressed confidence in the ongoing investigation to resolve the matter.
In response to inquiries about potential instances of favoritism in Puja’s application process, Dilip Khedkar opted not to disclose specifics, citing ongoing legal procedures. He reiterated that all actions were conducted in accordance with regulations, and urged for patience until the committee’s verdict is reached.
