Fire Destroys Oscar’s Frozen Custard Restaurant in Waukesha
In the early hours of Tuesday, November 19, a significant fire devastated Oscar’s Frozen Custard in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Emergency crews were alerted to the incident shortly after midnight, according to local reports.
Upon arrival, firefighters were confronted with an extensive blaze concentrated primarily in the building’s roofing area. «The fire was mainly a defensive fire,» stated John Schilling, Fire Chief of the Town of Brookfield. «Due to the extent of the fire coming into the roof, it’s just really unsafe for the firefighters to go inside and extinguish the fire that way.»
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, with officials yet to determine the factors that led to the destructive blaze.
The Waukesha location is one of several Oscar’s Frozen Custard outlets, with others situated in West Allis and Franklin. Reports from TMJ4’s Sydni Eure outlined the considerable damage left in the fire’s aftermath, highlighting the scale of destruction faced by the establishment.
Local news outlets are continuing to gather more information regarding the incident, and new updates will be provided as they become available.
