Francisca Owumi, a former contestant and first runner-up of the inaugural season of Big Brother Naija in 2006, has sadly passed away.

The announcement of her demise was made by her family through her Instagram account, which included a heartfelt message stating, ‘A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.’

Reports indicate that Owumi died following a brief illness. She became a notable figure during her time in the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) house, where her energetic dance moves and charming personality captured the hearts of many viewers.

Throughout her time on the show, she shared the spotlight with other prominent contestants such as Katung Aduwak, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, and the late Joseph Ada.

After her participation in the reality TV show, Owumi pursued her passion for music. In 2012, she released two singles titled ‘Gbadun You’ and ‘Diva,’ under her music label, Cisca Entertainment.

In addition to her music career, she also worked as a writer for Revista, an international magazine based in Ghana.
