Former Cameraman Accuses Megan Thee Stallion of Harassment and Hostile Work Environment
A former cameraman for Megan Thee Stallion has filed a lawsuit in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, accusing the hip-hop star of harassment and creating a hostile work environment. Emilio Garcia, who worked for the rapper from 2018 to 2023, alleges that he was trapped in a moving vehicle with Megan in Ibiza, Spain, where she engaged in sexual activity with another woman.
Garcia claimed that after the incident, he was warned not to discuss what he saw and was subjected to derogatory treatment by Megan, including fat-shaming and verbal abuse. The lawsuit stated that the harassment created a hostile and intolerable work environment for Garcia.
During their trip to Ibiza in June 2022, Garcia alleges that he witnessed Megan and another woman engaging in sexual activity inside a moving SUV, leaving him feeling uncomfortable and shocked. Despite confirming his presence, Megan warned Garcia not to speak about the incident.
Furthermore, Garcia stated that following the trip, Megan verbally abused him with fat-shaming comments, calling him derogatory names and dictating his eating habits. This behavior led to Garcia feeling degraded and emotionally distressed.
As a result of the alleged harassment and mistreatment, Garcia claimed that his compensation structure was changed from a monthly rate to a pay-per-task system, which resulted in a decrease in bookings and a change in his working conditions.
According to the lawsuit, when Garcia planned on quitting in June 2023, Roc Nation informed him that his services were no longer required by Megan. The lawsuit also highlighted alleged employment and wage violations concerning Garcia’s classification as an independent contractor.
Garcia is seeking more than six figures in damages, including unpaid wages, interest, overtime pay, and other employee benefits. His attorney, Ron Zambrano, emphasized the need for accountability and proper compensation for his client’s experience.
