Former CEO of Konga Dies by Suicide at Home
Nick Imudia, the former CEO of Konga and current CEO of D.light, a prominent player in residential solar energy solutions, tragically took his own life at his residence in Lekki, Lagos. Imudia, a respected business figure with an extensive background in e-commerce and energy solutions, passed away on the night of Tuesday, June 25.
Before his final act, Imudia made a call to his brother in the US, detailing instructions on the distribution of his assets in the event of his demise. Additionally, he reached out to his young daughter from a previous relationship, comforting her with the assurance that he would always be present, even in the skies.
The news of his suicide has left his friends, family, and colleagues in disbelief, struggling to comprehend why he would take such a drastic step. Hailing from the Ika South local government area in Delta State, Imudia had previously been married to the mother of his daughter, who shared the same local government roots.
Following the dissolution of his first marriage due to irreconcilable differences, Imudia found love again when he married a Caucasian partner. His unexpected death has shocked many who knew him, considering his successful career trajectory that included roles at prominent companies like TCL/Alcatel and Microsoft in the West and Central Africa regions.
