Former Chief Of Defence Staff, Admiral Ibrahim Ogohi, Mourned By Kogi State Governor

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ibrahim Ogohi, at the age of 75.

Admiral Ibrahim Ogohi was a respected figure in Nigeria, known for his significant contributions to national unity. Governor Ododo praised Ogohi’s dedication to keeping the country united during challenging times.

The late Admiral Ogohi, born in November 1948, served as Nigeria‘s Chief of Defence Staff under former President Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999 to 2003. His demise has been mourned not only by Kogi State but by the entire nation.

The governor highlighted Ogohi’s distinguished military career and his unwavering commitment to the progress of Kogi State. He described the late Admiral as a valuable source of wisdom and guidance in governance.

Admiral Ibrahim Ogohi was laid to rest in his hometown, OKura Olafia, in Dekina local government area of Kogi State after his passing in the early hours of Sunday, marking the end of an era for the Nigerian military.
