Former Coronation Street Star Kym Marsh Finds Love with Co-Star Samuel Thomas
Former Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has taken to social media to share a romantic snapshot of herself sharing a kiss with her 101 Dalmatians – The Musical co-star Samuel Thomas. The 48-year-old shared an intimate photo where she’s seen locking lips with Samuel Thomas, her co-star in the stage production of 101 Dalmatians.
Standing tall at 6ft, Samuel has a history of theatrical performances, including a stint at The National Theatre in The Normal Heart. His portrayal in Allegro at Southwark Playhouse earned him the Best Actor in a Musical accolade at The Stage Debut Awards back in 2017.
On his own Instagram, Samuel shared a tender black and white picture of the pair, captioning it with heartfelt words: ‘I didn’t expect you, but here you are. I love you,’ accompanied by a red heart emoji. Kym echoed his feelings, replying: ‘Ditto. The best things happen unexpectedly. Love you too.’
The surprising new romance comes just a year after Kym’s well-publicized split from her Army Major husband Scott Ratcliffe, following a two-year whirlwind marriage. The pair initially said their vows in October 2021 in a romantic ceremony attended by 150 guests.
Before tying the knot with Scott, Kym had a series of high-profile relationships with several famous faces, including ex-EastEnders actor Jack Ryder, whom she fell for after bumping into him in a BBC canteen! Kym’s love life has been as dramatic off-screen as her soap opera storylines, with a series of high-profile relationships.
After her 2009 divorce, she found love again with Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, and the couple soon expected a child together. Tragically, their son Archie passed away minutes after birth due to premature labor at 21 weeks, caused by a condition that led to her body rejecting the pregnancy.
In another twist worthy of the soaps, Kym had a brief romance with Coronation Street colleague Oliver Mellor in 2013. Post-breakup, Mellor shared with the Mirror: ‘We planned a future together. We loved each other and we weren’t afraid to say it.’ ‘It wasn’t something we intended to happen, but we couldn’t stop our feelings.’
