Van Gundy disclosed on Le Batard’s podcast, ‘South Beach Sessions’, that Kim, aged 61, tragically took her own life in August. The news came as a shock to many, as her initial cause of death had been described as ‘unexpected’.
Speaking candidly about the devastating loss, Van Gundy expressed the profound impact of Kim’s absence on his life. They had been together for 35 years, with Kim being his constant support throughout their marriage.
