A prominent multinational company executive, the Managing Director of Fouani, and three foreign nationals were abducted while traveling via boat along the Lagos waters, near the Falomo Bridge in Lagos.

The captives, whose identities have not been officially confirmed, were reportedly en route from Apapa to Victoria Island when the kidnapping occurred.

Sources familiar with the situation revealed that the kidnappers have demanded a hefty ransom of $1.5m for the safe release of the victims.

Fouani, a notable multinational that represents electronic brands such as LG, Hisense, Maxi, Huawei, and Jinko, found its Managing Director in a precarious situation as the abduction took place on Friday evening around the Falomo Bridge area.

Confirming the incident, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer of Lagos State, acknowledged that the police were informed about the abduction and are actively investigating the case.

Hundeyin declined to disclose specific details pertaining to the victims or the exact circumstances of the incident but assured that law enforcement authorities are diligently working towards a resolution.
