Frsc Cash Recovery Accident

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has made headlines recently for their commendable act of returning over N1 million and other valuables to the family of a traveler who sadly lost his life in a car accident.

On a Friday afternoon, the FRSC Sector Commander, Mr. Muta’a Chorrie, presented the money and items to the deceased’s family. He praised his team for their dedication and integrity in handling the incident.

The tragic accident had occurred on June 11 at the Ido Junction on the Airport-Giri Road, claiming the lives of three individuals. Chorrie confirmed that one of the deceased was the owner of the recovered money and belongings.

Highlighting this return of valuables, Chorrie emphasized it as a clear indication of the FRSC’s commitment to transparency and genuine service to the community. A thorough investigation was conducted to confirm that the money and items belonged to the deceased.

Among the items returned were a bag, a power bank, a rechargeable lamp, a phone, and two POS machines, along with the N1 million in cash.

Gratitude was expressed by Abdulwasiu Ajiboye, who spoke on behalf of the deceased’s family, thanking the FRSC for their efforts in returning the items. He noted how the situation was quite unfortunate and acknowledged the challenges faced during the rescue attempt.

In a separate incident recently, the mood shifted to sorrow in Enugu State, where four policemen were tragically killed by unknown assailants. This attack occurred on Sunday evening at the Four Corner Junction in Nkanu West Local Government Area while the officers were conducting stop-and-search operations.

Eyewitnesses shared that gunmen opened fire on the policemen during their duty, leading to widespread outrage and sadness within the community.
