Oasis Concert Tickets

Fans of the iconic band Oasis have expressed significant frustration regarding the difficulty in obtaining accessible tickets for their upcoming concert at Wembley Stadium.

General ticket sales for the band’s eagerly anticipated comeback tour began at 9 AM on Saturday, with fans in need of accessible tickets directed to a specific phone number for assistance. However, many customers faced challenges when attempting to secure tickets.

Frances Mobbs, a resident of Norfolk, described her experience as an «impossible task» as she sought four accessible tickets for her son, Nick Mobbs, who has disabilities including paraplegia, spina bifida, and hydrocephalus. Despite submitting necessary documentation and calling the designated line for two hours, she encountered continual busy signals and messages indicating a failure to connect.

Mrs. Mobbs highlighted her son’s long-standing admiration for the band and emphasized the personal significance of attending the concert as a «bucket list» experience. She expressed disappointment at the lack of an online option for purchasing accessible tickets.

Another individual, identified only as Martin, reported making over 1,500 attempts to call the accessibility line to secure tickets for himself and his wife, Sarah, who suffers from spinal conditions and fibromyalgia. Martin remarked on the perplexing nature of the system, noting that other venues do not pose the same challenges.

He expressed that the companion ticket is crucial for individuals with disabilities, stating, «The additional costs of being disabled are quite huge,» and emphasized the equality that accessible ticket provisions should afford.

Mark Pithers, a Cambridgeshire resident, echoed similar sentiments, claiming he attempted to reach the accessibility line approximately 2,000 times. He criticized the reliance on a phone-based system for an increasingly limited number of wheelchair-accessible spaces.

A representative from Wembley Stadium acknowledged the overwhelming demand for accessible tickets for the Oasis concert, resulting in abnormally long wait times. The spokesperson noted that the venue employs a call-back system to assist those unable to wait on the line.

The intention behind the phone-only system is to collect information about fans’ needs and verify eligibility for accessible tickets.
