The match, held at Borussia Park in Moenchengladbach, saw midfielder Pascal Gross emerge as the hero for the German team with a last-minute strike.
The encounter started with an early onslaught from Greece, who created a golden opportunity in the 6th minute, only to be denied by German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
