Gogo Skhotheni With Her Son In Hospital

DJ Gogo Skhotheni, a well-known reality TV star, is in mourning following the sad news of her son, Monde Junior Shange’s passing. The announcement was made through a statement on her Instagram account, confirming the family’s loss.

According to the statement, Monde Jr died on Monday at Busamed Modderfontein Private Hospital. The Motsoeneng and Shange families have requested privacy during this painful time of grief, asking for understanding and compassion from the public.

«Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me,» Psalm 23:4, was referenced in the statement, highlighting the emotional burden faced by the family.

Gogo Skhotheni had been a constant presence at her son’s bedside before his passing. In December 2023, she expressed her love for Monde Jr through a tattoo, stating that it helped her feel more connected to him while he was hospitalized.

«It’s difficult to express my feelings towards him while he’s in a hospital bed the whole day. One thing about my son, he smiles right through. His smile heals you. I go there to comfort him, but he ends up comforting me,» she shared in previous comments.

Skhotheni had been visiting her son daily when not working, and despite the challenges, she remained hopeful that he would be able to come home this year.

Monde Jr was born with significant health issues, lacking a tube necessary for food transport to the stomach. Subsequently, he underwent major surgeries and relied on a machine to assist with feeding.
