Gospel Singer Solly Moholo Hospitalized in Botswana
Veteran gospel singer Solly Moholo, whose real name is Solomon Molokoane, has been admitted to a hospital in Botswana following health issues encountered after a recent performance. The 65-year-old artist was in the country to pre-launch his upcoming album, titled Wubani O zo Pepeza.
According to a statement from Moholo’s management team, he is reported to be in a better condition than when he was first rushed to the hospital. They confirmed that he is still receiving care in Botswana’s medical facilities.
The management team stated, “Ntate Solly Moholo performed excellently at all his gigs in Botswana and was well received by the people.” However, it was noted that he fell ill upon returning to his residence in Botswana after his performances.
The family of Solly Moholo has requested that fans and the public keep him in their prayers as he continues his recovery. His management team remains present in Botswana until he is fully recovered.
Earlier this year, Moholo shared his experiences with depression and isolation, revealing how he struggled with his mental health following a period of reduced performances after his last album was released in 2017. He expressed having contemplated taking his own life during these challenging times.
