Gwyneth Paltrow Discusses Paparazzi Interference During Filming with Timothée Chalamet

Recent events on the set of Josh Safdie’s upcoming movie have highlighted another concern: the presence of paparazzi.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show with host Jimmy Fallon, actress Gwyneth Paltrow shared her experience on set with mention of dealing with intrusive photographers. «You’re trying to have this scene, it’s a private moment, and then there are paparazzi,» Paltrow remarked.

Paltrow was referring to a situation where she and co-star Timothée Chalamet were photographed kissing during a scene for their upcoming film in New York City. The leaked photographs reportedly caused a stir, prompting Paltrow’s group chats with friends and family to «be on fire» with messages, she noted.

The film marks Paltrow’s return to acting after her last appearance in 2019. Speaking on The Tonight Show, she confessed that it was her brother, a filmmaker himself, who persuaded her to consider the role due to his admiration for the director Josh Safdie.

Chalamet’s presence in the film seems to have also influenced Paltrow’s decision. According to Paltrow, her daughter was particularly excited about his participation. The actor, known for recent successes in films like ‘Dune‘ and ‘Call Me by Your Name‘, is experiencing a peak in popularity, leading to comparisons with other emerging talents in the industry.

In reflecting on her time with Chalamet, Paltrow praised him during another recent interview. «Really, he’s very polite, very talented, just so nice to be with,» she said, expressing her enjoyment in working alongside him.
