Harbhajan Singh Slams Michael Vaughan for ICC Favoring India Comment
Former English cricket captain Michael Vaughan stirred controversy by suggesting that the International Cricket Council’s decision to hold the India semi-final clash in Guyana, regardless of the Super 8 results, was unfair to other teams.
In response to Vaughan’s claim, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh took to social media to urge Vaughan to ‘stop being silly and move on’.
Vaughan’s remarks, made after the Afghanistan vs. South Africa semi-final, questioned the fairness of allocating the venue for the India semi-final match, stating that it was geared towards India.
Harbhajan Singh, in his response, criticized Vaughan for his comments, stressing that the game was played on a level field and England were outplayed by India.
Vaughan had earlier claimed that England would have won the semi-final had it been played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, insinuating favoritism towards India.
During a podcast, Vaughan further expressed his opinion that the T20 World Cup 2024 seemed biased towards India in terms of scheduling and venues.
