Harry Styles surprised fans at the British Summer Time concert with a special guest appearance alongside veteran artist Stevie Nicks on Friday night.

Nicks, known for her iconic role in Fleetwood Mac, shared the stage with Styles, the former One Direction star, to deliver a heartfelt performance of ‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,’ originally a hit with the late Tom Petty and his band The Heartbreakers in 1981.

The duo’s collaboration marked a solemn tribute to Petty, with whom Nicks had previously performed the song at Hyde Park back in 2017.

Styles, age 30, remained on stage to join Nicks in performing the timeless Fleetwood Mac classic ‘Landslide,’ culminating in an emotional moment of remembrance for Nicks’s musical companion, Christine McVie.

Nicks, now 76, expressed her profound gratitude to the audience, dedicating part of the concert to McVie who would have celebrated her birthday that day: ‘All of you have helped me get over [her death] and I want you to know how much I appreciate it,’ she disclosed during the show.

Expressing thankfulness towards Styles, Nicks highlighted the collaboration by saying, ‘Harry, I thank you – we thank you for being a part of this memorable performance.’

In addition to the musical tribute, Nicks used her platform to encourage political activism among the crowd, revealing her own late awakening to voting: ‘I was too busy. Don’t be me; vote,’ she urged.

The unanticipated appearance of Styles alongside the rock legend Nicks further solidifies their bond in the music industry. Both artists have shared admiration for each other, with Nicks describing Styles as ‘Mick’s and my love child,’ fostering a mentorship-like relationship.

In recognition of Nicks’s enduring impact, Styles honored her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for her outstanding solo work and contributions with Fleetwood Mac. During the ceremony, Styles saluted Nicks as a timeless musical force with an ever-relevant presence in the industry.
