The news was confirmed by Rush’s daughter, Claudia Cowan, who is a journalist at Fox News. Rush’s career spanned from the 1950s to the 1990s, leaving a lasting legacy in the entertainment industry.

Rush began her acting journey with minor roles in movies like ‘Quebec‘ and ‘When Worlds Collide’, paving her way to more significant roles including the alien-invasion classic ‘It Came From Outer Space‘, which earned her a Golden Globe Award for most promising newcomer in 1954. She later starred alongside Hollywood legends such as Paul Newman, Kirk Douglas, and Kim Novak in films like ‘The Young Philadelphians’ and ‘Strangers When We Meet’.

Transitioning to television in the ’60s, Rush found success on the small screen with roles in series like ‘Peyton Place‘, ‘Flamingo Road‘, and ‘All My Children‘. Her TV career extended into the ’90s with appearances in ‘Magnum, P.I.’, ‘Murder, She Wrote‘, and ‘Fantasy Island’, showcasing her versatility as an actor across different mediums.

Born in Denver and raised in Southern California, Rush’s acting journey began at the Pasadena Playhouse before catching the eye of Paramount talent scout Milton Lewis. Her talent and elegance on screen led her to star in a variety of productions, earning her a place among Old Hollywood Royalty.

Rush’s personal life was marked by marriage and divorce to screen star Jeffrey Hunter, Hollywood publicity executive Warren Cowan, and sculptor James Gruzalski.
