Inacio Miguel Joins Kaizer Chiefs
Kaizer Chiefs have made a significant move in preparation for the upcoming season by signing Angolan international, Inacio Miguel Ferreira dos Santos from Petro de Luanda, one of the largest clubs in Angola.
The 28-year-old centre-back, known simply as Inacio Miguel, arrived in South Africa on Tuesday afternoon to complete his medical examination before finalizing a three-year contract with Amakhosi.
This signing makes Miguel the first Angolan international to join the senior team of Kaizer Chiefs, and he is the fifth player added to the squad during this transfer window.
Joining Miguel in this transfer period are Rushwin Dortley, Fiacre Ntwari, Bongani Sam, and Gaston Sirino, all of whom have signed in recent weeks.
As a prominent player for Petro de Luanda, Miguel played an essential role during their campaign in the CAF Champions League, and he was part of the team that won Angola’s domestic league title last season. He has also represented the Angolan national team on five occasions.
Kaizer Motaung Jr., the Sporting Director of Kaizer Chiefs, expressed enthusiasm about the new addition, stating, “We are happy to have a player of Inacio Miguel’s calibre join our team. We’ve watched him and believe his experience, skill and passion for the game embody the spirit of Kaizer Chiefs and will add a lot of positives to the team.”
Motaung Jr. further emphasized the expectation that Miguel’s talent will make significant contributions to the team’s success as he embarks on this new chapter of his career in South Africa.
