India Set to Face England in T20 World Cup Semi-Finals
Team India‘s remarkable performance in the T20 World Cup has led them to the semi-finals, setting up an exciting clash against defending champions England. The fiery innings of Captain Rohit Sharma, scoring 92 runs off 42 balls, has been instrumental in India’s journey so far.
On the other side, Afghanistan from Group 1 and South Africa from Group 2 have secured their places in the semi-finals as well. Afghanistan will battle it out against South Africa in Trinidad while India faces off against England in Guyana.
The semi-final matches are scheduled for June 27, with Afghanistan vs. South Africa beginning at 6 am IST and India vs. England following at 8 pm IST. Both games will be live-streamed on Disney+ Hotstar and broadcasted on the Star Sports Network.
For the semi-finals and final matches, each team is required to play a minimum of 10 overs to achieve a result instead of the usual 5 overs. This rule aims to ensure fair play and account for any weather interruptions.
The semi-finals are an intense battle to secure a spot in the final, which will be held at the Kensington Oval Stadium in Bridgetown, Barbados, on June 29. The first semi-final venue is the Brian Lara Cricket Academy Stadium in Tarouba, San Fernando, while the second semi-final takes place at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
