In the second T20 International of the three-match series, India captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to have Sri Lanka bat first. This exciting match took place at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on July 28.

India made one key change to their Playing 11, bringing in Sanju Samson to replace Shubman Gill. Incidentally, Gill missed out due to a neck spasm he woke up with that morning.

After the toss, Suryakumar expressed optimism, saying, «We will look to bowl first. There is a bit of weather around and the wicket played better in the second innings.» He also emphasized the need for continuous learning and improvement, even after a victory.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka’s captain, Charith Asalanka, mentioned that they are keen to bat first. He announced one change in their team, with Ramesh Mendis coming in for Dilshan Madhushanka. He noted that the first three batters performed well previously but mentioned some concerns regarding their bowlers’ line.

The match started later than planned, kicking off at 7:45 PM IST, after a delay of 45 minutes caused by rain. Fans were eager for the showdown between the two competitive teams.

For those looking to catch the action on TV, the Sony Sports Network held the broadcasting rights. Fans could see the match with live commentary in English on Sony Ten 5, while Hindi commentary was available on Sony Ten 3.

If you prefer to watch online, the Sony LIV app and website provided live streaming options for the IND vs SL match, keeping viewers connected to the thrilling action on the field.
