Opening batswoman Smriti Mandhana delivered a masterclass with a brilliant century, scoring 117 runs off 127 balls. Her aggressive innings included 12 boundaries, setting the tone for India’s dominance.
Debutant Asha Shobhana also made a significant impact, taking crucial wickets and putting pressure on the South African batting lineup. Her stellar performance added depth to India’s bowling attack.
Meanwhile, South Africa struggled to counter India’s strong bowling, with Luus being their top scorer with 33 runs. The Indian bowlers, led by Shobhana, restricted South Africa to a total of 122 runs, securing a comfortable victory.
