Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma displayed a remarkable performance in the T20 World Cup semifinal against England, scoring a half-century off 36 balls. This marked Rohit’s third half-century in the tournament so far, adding to his impressive batting record.

The game didn’t start well for India against England, as Virat Kohli lost his wicket early, scoring nine runs off nine balls. Soon after, Sam Curran took Rishabh Pant’s wicket, adding pressure on the Indian team.

However, Rohit Sharma partnered with Suryakumar Yadav to steady the innings. The duo managed to build a 73-run partnership for the third wicket, stabilizing India’s position in a rain-interrupted match.

Rohit Sharma’s innings of 57 runs off 39 balls, including six boundaries and two sixes, played a crucial role in rescuing India from a challenging situation. Despite his efforts, spinner Adil Rashid bowled out Rohit Sharma, ending his innings.

With this half-century, Rohit Sharma recorded his 11th half-century in T20 World Cups, placing him second on the list of most half-centuries behind Virat Kohli. The match also witnessed Rohit hitting his 50th six in the T20 World Cup, making him the second highest six-hitter in the tournament.

England’s Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan surpassed Stuart Broad in taking the most wickets for England in T20 World Cups. Rashid’s dismissal of Rohit Sharma added to his wicket tally, along with Jordan’s contributions, accumulating a total of 31 wickets in the tournament.
