Indian 2 Sees Strong Opening Despite Mixed Reviews

Indian 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the cult classic vigilante film, has hit the screens amidst a whirlwind of expectation and curiosity.

The film’s creators, including the renowned director Shankar and the versatile actor Kamal Haasan, have come together after 18 years to bring the sequel to life.

Starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role alongside Siddharth, S J Suryah, Bobby Simha, Gulshan Grover, and Nedumudi Venu, the film boasts a stellar cast that has captured the audience’s attention.

While the original film featured music by AR Rahman, the sequel has music composed by Anirudh, adding a fresh spin to the classic tale.

Indian 2 finds itself in a box office battle with Nag Ashwin‘s Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone, which has been dominating screens across the country.

Despite facing competition and mixed reviews, Indian 2 managed to pull in a remarkable opening day collection of ₹25.6 crore in India.

The film also faces a clash with Sudha Kongara‘s Soorarai Pottru remake, Sarfira, which features Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
