Influencer Rajat Dalal Caught in Controversial Hit-and-Run Incident
A video has recently surfaced on social media depicting Rajat Dalal, a fitness influencer, driving at excessive speeds of up to 143 km/h on a crowded road. The footage reportedly shows him colliding with a motorcyclist, followed by an alarming comment from Dalal that minimalizes the serious nature of the incident.
In the viral video, after the collision, a woman seated next to Dalal refers to him respectfully as ‘Sir’ and pleads with him not to engage in such reckless behavior. To this, Dalal nonchalantly replies, ‘Wo gir gaya, koi baat nahi. Roz ka yahi kaam hai’ which translates to ‘There’s no big deal if he fell down. This is a daily thing, ma’am.’
This shocking response, alongside his dangerous driving, has ignited widespread outrage on social media, with many users calling for strict legal action against him. The severity of the situation has raised concerns regarding overspeeding and hit-and-run incidents.
According to reports, the Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad has acknowledged the incident and stated that the authorities have initiated action. In a post on the platform X, the Deputy Commissioner noted, ‘This video has come to the notice of the district administration and Faridabad police. Although no complaint has been made to the police in this matter, the police administration has taken cognizance of this incident on its own and started action. The investigation is ongoing. Strict action will be taken against the culprit.’
In addition to this response from the authorities, a lawyer based in Delhi has filed a formal complaint against Dalal with the Delhi traffic police, seeking accountability for his actions.
In reaction to the video, social media users have expressed their disapproval. One user mentioned, ‘Strong action should be taken against this. Humanity has vanished from people like these.’ Another user commented, ‘This is a clear case of overspeeding and hit-and-run. What’s tragic is he had no remorse.’
