Kings Vs Clippers Nba Game

The Sacramento Kings are facing significant injury challenges as they prepare for their NBA Cup clash against the Los Angeles Clippers. During a recent game against the Atlanta Hawks, the Kings were without key players Domantas Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan, and Malik Monk. These absences were keenly felt. Sabonis and DeRozan’s status has improved, with both no longer listed on ESPN‘s injury report and expected to play. Malik Monk, however, continues to recover from an ankle sprain induced against the Phoenix Suns weeks ago.

In addition to Monk, the Kings will remain without their 2024 first-round pick, Devin Carter, yet to appear this season. Mason Jones and Isaiah Crawford are also out due to injuries. ESPN reports that Jones is dealing with a hamstring issue, while Crawford is sidelined with an ankle injury.

On the Clippers’ side, their best player Kawhi Leonard is still out as he manages an ongoing knee injury. There is optimism as Leonard resumes shooting, as reported by NBA journalist Tomer Azarly. Additionally, the Clippers’ leading scorer, Norman Powell, is absent due to a hamstring injury he suffered against the Golden State Warriors. P.J. Tucker is away from the team for personal reasons unrelated to injuries.

Beyond the Friday NBA Cup, the Kings look ahead to a fixture against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, November 24. Adjustments in the lineup will be crucial as they continue without significant players during these back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, De'Aaron Fox recently showcased his skills with a 60-point performance in a loss against the Timberwolves, a game where an injured DeRozan was inactive. Domantas Sabonis also battled through back issues but is taking a cautious approach for Saturday against the Jazz.

The Kings expect a debut from center Orlando Robinson, activated for the first time this season. Robinson is predicted to fill the void left by Sabonis, who averages impressive stats per game, notably 20.2 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists.
