TS Inter Results 2024 Declared: Girls Outshine Boys, Pass Percentage Records a Dip
The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Examinations announced the highly anticipated results for the first year and second year examinations on Wednesday. A total of 9,81,003 students appeared for the exams, with 6,09,693 students successfully passing, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 62.14% for both years combined.
Girls demonstrated exceptional performance yet again, surpassing boys in both the first and second year results, contributing to the overall achievement of the students. Principal Secretary (Education) Burra Venkatesham and Secretary of the Board of Intermediate Examinations, Shruti Ojha, officially declared the results in an event held in Hyderabad.
The first-year examination results exhibited a pass percentage of 60.01%, while the second-year results showed a pass percentage of 64.19%. Girls secured higher pass percentages than boys in both categories, with a notable 68.35% vs. 51.50% in the first year and 72.53% vs. 56.10% in the second year.
Comparative analysis revealed a minor decline in the 2024 results compared to those of previous years, indicating a similar performance to the pre-COVID era. The supervising body congratulated students from government colleges for their commendable achievement in the exams.
In another highlight, the examination report categorized groups based on performance, with MPC (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) securing leading pass percentages of 68.52% and 73.85% in the first and second years, respectively.
Among the 35 educational districts in the State, Ranga Reddy, Medchal, and Mulugu emerged as front-runners in pass percentage for the first year; in vocational courses, Narayanpet, Medak, and Adilabad showcased excellent results. For second year regular results, Mulugu, Medchal, and Rangareddy claimed the top positions, with Narayanpet, Komaram Bheem, and Mulugu excelling in vocational outcomes.
