Investigation Launched into the Mysterious Death of VGC Chairman Gihan Mbelu
The Lagos State Police Command has taken the initiative to launch a thorough investigation into the tragic passing of Gihan Mbelu, the esteemed 42-year-old VGC Chairman, whose lifeless body was discovered in the Victoria Garden City area of the state. The unfortunate incident unfolded in the Ajah locality and came to public attention through a post by @dejilambo on social media, shedding light on the sudden demise of Gihan Mbelu.
Reports indicate that Mbelu was found in a slumber inside his stationary C300 4Matic car, with the engine running for an extended period. Concerned individuals in the vicinity noticed the peculiar situation at around 10:10 a.m. last Friday, prompting them to investigate the vehicle, uncovering Gihan Mbelu’s distressing condition.
Despite efforts from onlookers to awaken Gihan Mbelu proving futile, they quickly mobilized to seek medical assistance. Subsequently, Mbelu was swiftly transported to the esteemed Lagos University Teaching Hospital for urgent medical attention, only to be declared deceased by attending physicians. His remains were then carefully transferred to the hospital’s morgue for further processing.
