The Board of Control for Cricket in India revealed the complete schedule of the Indian Premier League 2024 on Monday, March 25. The championship final is to be held on May 26 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the home of defending champions Chennai Super Kings.

The IPL matches will run until May 19, with the two qualifiers scheduled for May 21 and 24, and the eliminator on May 22. The BCCI had initially released the schedule for the first 21 matches only, in order to accommodate the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 schedule.

As per the announcement, Ahmedabad‘s Narendra Modi Stadium will host the Qualifier 1 on May 21 and the Eliminator on May 22. The Qualifier 2 and the grand final will take place in Chennai on May 24 and May 26, respectively, at the Chepauk stadium.

The Chepauk stadium has previously hosted IPL finals in 2011 and 2012. The BCCI mentioned that this edition of IPL will feature a total of 70 matches, with 21 already declared and 49 to follow, including the qualifiers and the final.

The Delhi Capitals will have five games at their actual base, with two initial matches in Visakhapatnam on March 31 and April 3. Meanwhile, Punjab Kings started their season at the PCA New International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur and will culminate their home games in Dharamsala.

Furthermore, Rajasthan Royals will play two matches at their alternate home base in Guwahati. Their last two home matches will be against Punjab Kings on May 15 and Kolkata Knight Riders on May 19.
