Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has been slightly injured in a car accident following a visit to the scene of a stabbing in the city of Ramle, near Tel Aviv. The incident, which also injured two others, is under investigation, according to Israeli police.

Footage circulating on social media showed a flipped-over car, with Mr. Ben-Gvir among those affected. Reports indicate that he was returning from the stabbing incident in Ramle, where a 19-year-old woman was seriously injured. The circumstances surrounding the attack are being looked into by authorities.

Central district police chief Avi Biton disclosed that a man with reported mental health issues carried out the stabbing. The assailant was then shot and ‘neutralised’ by a civilian, with Mr. Ben-Gvir said to have been at the scene during this incident.

Itamar Ben-Gvir, a controversial figure within Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s emergency government, has been vocal about advocating for a forceful Israeli response against Iran. This call comes after recent escalations between the two nations, stemming from military actions and retaliations.

Additionally, Ben-Gvir has supported the relocation of Palestinians from Gaza and has backed the re-establishment of Jewish settlements in the region. His political stances have stirred considerable debate and opposition in various circles.
