Ivan Toney Transfer News

Brentford Football Club has accepted a significant offer of £40 million from Al-Ahli for England forward Ivan Toney, as confirmed by the PA news agency. The talented striker, who has been a target for multiple Premier League teams, including Chelsea, is now anticipated to undergo a medical examination as he prepares to finalize his transfer to the Saudi Pro League.

Toney, who is 28 years old, has just one year remaining on his contract with Brentford and has not participated in any matchday squad for the Bees this season, indicating a potential shift away from West London.

In parallel, reports suggest that Al-Ahli has also negotiated a deal to acquire Napoli striker Victor Osimhen; however, it is unclear whether signing Toney will influence their pursuit of the Nigerian player.

Additionally, Arsenal Football Club has come to an agreement to acquire Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto on a season-long loan. This transfer appears to be straightforward, with no buy option or obligation involved.

Neto’s impending entry into the north London squad has facilitated Aaron Ramsdale‘s permanent move to Southampton. Ramsdale, who is 26 years old and previously played for Bournemouth, has signed a four-year contract at St Mary’s Stadium. He expressed excitement about the manager’s vision and the ease of transition returning to the south coast brings for him and his family.

The Gunners’ head coach, Mikel Arteta, acknowledged Ramsdale’s contributions during his time at the club, thanking him for his professionalism and wishing him well in his new role.

In other transfer news, Wolves have successfully signed Sam Johnstone from Crystal Palace on a four-year contract for a reported fee of £10 million. This addition aims to enhance competition in the goalkeeping department, as noted by Sporting Director Matt Hobbs.

Furthermore, James Ward-Prowse is undergoing a medical examination at Nottingham Forest prior to a season-long loan deal from West Ham United. This move will create opportunities for West Ham to bring in their long-standing target Carlos Soler from Paris Saint-Germain.

In a separate arrangement, Everton striker Neal Maupay has joined Marseille on loan for the upcoming season, with the French club obliged to purchase the 28-year-old at the end of the loan period. Maupay’s previous stint at Everton saw him make 32 appearances, scoring just one goal.

Aston Villa has acquired Yeimar Mosquera from Orsomarso, and he will immediately be loaned to Real Union. Japanese midfielder Ao Tanaka has also transferred to Leeds from Fortuna Dusseldorf for an undisclosed fee, estimated to be around £3.5 million.

Rangers winger Scott Wright has finalized a three-year contract with Birmingham City in League One for an undisclosed amount.
