Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx has opened up about his recent health scare during a fan encounter in Phoenix, Arizona.
Speaking to a group of fans, Foxx shared chilling details of the incident, which began with a debilitating headache on April 11 last year, ultimately leading to a 20-day period of memory loss.
Recalling the medical treatment he received, Foxx mentioned that he was in Atlanta at the time shooting the upcoming Netflix film ‘Back in Action’ alongside actress Cameron Diaz.
It was during this project that the actor was rushed to the hospital due to what was described as a severe health emergency.
Foxx’s first public appearance post the incident was at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in December, where he expressed gratitude for being present and highlighted the newfound appreciation he has for each moment.
Entertainment contributor Kelley L. Carter from ABC News spoke about Foxx’s cautious approach in discussing the specifics of his health condition, pointing out the seriousness of the situation and the actor’s desire to process and potentially share his experience at a later time.
