Jenn Tran Discusses Life After «Dancing With the Stars»
Jenn Tran, a 26-year-old participant in the 33rd season of «Dancing With the Stars,» has opened up about adjusting to life post-elimination from the popular dance competition. Tran took to social media on a Saturday, November 16, to candidly share her experiences and emotions after her stint on the show.
«Get ready with me and let’s talk about life after ‘Dancing With the Stars,'» Tran began her video, expressing a sense of directionlessness after being cut from the competition. She admitted feeling like she had experienced a «midlife crisis» immediately following her elimination. «I was having a little bit of a midlife crisis for a hot second after I was eliminated from ‘Dancing With the Stars’. But now, we’re back and I finally found a will to live again,» she stated.
Tran likened the abrupt end to her dance journey on the show to «going through a breakup,» describing the sudden halt in her routine as emotionally challenging. «I felt like I broke up with dancing and I didn’t know if it was going to take me back or not,» she shared, comparing the experience to the daily contact dancers have, akin to the familiarity of a relationship.
Despite being voted off during the Halloween Night episode, Tran emphasized the profound impact her participation had, especially due to her partnership with Sasha Farber. «Dancing with Sasha [Farber] was incredible, and I’ve decided that I’m gonna continue dance classes,» she said. Tran revealed that her dance partner is still involved in her dance education, teaching her segments for social media platforms like TikTok.
Recognizing her passion for dance, Tran is now exploring opportunities to continue learning. Although she is unsure of which dance style she will pursue, she expressed excitement about taking lessons, stating, «I’m honestly thinking of taking dance lessons on my own, too. I used to think it was kind of weird, but now I’m like, you know what, I don’t care what anybody thinks, I’m just going to do it.»
Tran further reflected on her motivations during the competition, emphasizing that her reason for dancing was simply joy rather than achievement. «When I was on the show, every time I was dancing it was just because I really loved it,» she commented, noting that she did not focus extensively on the competition aspect.
The former reality show star has been sharing her dance journey online, including a recent jive routine with Farber to Olly Murs‘ «Dance With Me Tonight.» They continue to post dance videos together, much to the delight of their fans, although they remain coy about their off-stage chemistry.
Despite her exit from «Dancing With the Stars,» which airs on ABC and Disney+, Tran remains committed to her dancing ambitions, citing it as «good for the soul.»
