John Schneider, the beloved star from «The Dukes of Hazzard», and TV personality Dee Dee Sorvino have taken a joyful step in their lives by getting married in Las Vegas. The couple’s surprise wedding took place just this past Wednesday, making headlines with their whirlwind romance.

Schneider, who is 64 years old, happily announced their union on social media, expressing his disbelief that happiness was possible again after losing his previous wife, Alicia Allain, to breast cancer earlier this year. He shared a heartfelt message, encouraging others facing hardships to stay resilient.

In a shared statement, the newlyweds remarked, «Just when we thought our happiest days were forever behind us… we happened!» Their wedding, as reported by their publicist, took place in the back of a white convertible once owned by R&B star Usher.

The marriage marks Schneider’s fourth, having been previously married to Tawny Little and Elly Castle before his union with Allain. Dee Dee Sorvino, 57, also faced loss with the death of her husband, renowned actor Paul Sorvino, who passed away in July 2022.

Both Schneider and Sorvino have been open about their journeys through grief. Months before their wedding, Schneider praised their budding relationship on a podcast, sharing how he believed that fate had brought them together as two widowed souls finding love again.

To celebrate their love, the couple plans an official wedding celebration later this summer at the Hollywood Museum, which stands as a sentimental place since it’s where they first met in person.
