Jrue Holiday Launches Eyewear Collection with Zenni Optical, Discusses Celtics’ Title Defense
Jrue Holiday, a prominent player in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and a two-time champion, has taken on a new role off the court as the latest brand ambassador for Zenni Optical. On Monday, the eyewear company announced that Holiday would be launching his own collection as part of this partnership, the Jrue Holiday x Zenni Optical Collection. Holiday, who plays for the Boston Celtics, will sport his new line of glasses as his team defends their title this season.
The collaboration between Holiday and Zenni Optical aligns with the eyewear company’s sponsorship of the Boston Celtics and its existing partnership with assistant coach Sam Cassell. «Partnering with Zenni has been fantastic from the start,» Holiday expressed in a press release. «I’m impressed by how they blend fashion, quality, and affordability. Zenni’s eyewear not only enhances my look but also supports my focus on greater goals, like clinching another championship.»
Holiday discussed his collaboration with Zenni and his upcoming collection with Sports Illustrated, further elaborating on his favorite frames and extending his appreciation for Zenni’s vision to provide affordable eyewear to the community. He mentioned how the eyewear collection symbolizes comfort and versatility, reflective of his personal style.
In addition to his business ventures, Holiday has been engaged in philanthropic work through his foundation, collaborating with his teammate Jaylen Brown. The foundation recently announced a partnership aimed at investing millions into small businesses in Boston.
Holiday, who has championship experience with both the Milwaukee Bucks and as an Olympic gold medalist, offered insights into preparing Boston for their title defense. He emphasized the challenges of competing at the highest level and the importance of maintaining focus despite pressures and expectations.
The Celtics’ journey to repeat as champions requires adaptability, according to Holiday, who arrived in Boston late last season. He reflected on adjusting to the team dynamics quickly and shared his excitement about feeling more comfortable with Joe Mazzulla‘s coaching strategy as this season unfolds.
On the personal front, Holiday appreciates Zenni’s effort to make stylish eyewear accessible, revealing a personal connection to affordable vision solutions due to his family’s needs when he was younger. «It’s huge to give back to the community that way, make it affordable, make it durable, and make it stylish,» he relayed to Sports Illustrated.
