Kaley Cuoco Speaks Out Against ‘Mom Shaming’ Amid Parenthood Journey
Kaley Cuoco, widely recognized for her role in the television series «The Big Bang Theory,» has addressed the criticism surrounding her parenting style. Cuoco, who shares an 18-month-old daughter named Matilda with her fiancé, Tom Pelphrey, highlighted the enduring issue of «mom shaming» she has experienced. In an exclusive interview with E! News, airing on November 18, the 38-year-old actress emphasized that «every mom I can guarantee is doing the best they can.»
Cuoco commented, «Everyone’s got something to say about everything. There’s no change before I had kids, to having kids, to where I am in my life.» Despite the scrutiny, she remains focused on providing a loving environment for Matilda, describing her as «the happiest kid in the world.»
The actress also touched upon parenting choices that often attract criticism, such as screen time. She humorously noted that Matilda enjoys watching movies on HBO and joked about her daughter watching «Game of Thrones.» Cuoco remarked, «I think that’s the trick,» as Matilda appears less interested the more she watches.
Personal experiences in the entertainment industry have led Cuoco to embrace the idea of Matilda potentially following in her parents’ acting footsteps. «I don’t know how this child will not be an actress,» she said, citing the family’s acting background, including Cuoco’s sister, Briana Cuoco.
Cuoco and Pelphrey, who announced their engagement after two years of dating, continue to navigate parenthood alongside their professional careers. The couple has not prioritized wedding plans, with Cuoco acknowledging that another child might be part of their future before marriage. «We’re gonna go way out of order. That’s our plan,» Cuoco shared.
Kaley Cuoco’s candid remarks highlight both the challenges and joys of raising a child within the public eye, as well as her commitment to dismissing undue criticisms while focusing on her family’s happiness.
