Carolina Panthers Vs Kansas City Chiefs

CHARLOTTE — The Carolina Panthers are experiencing a shift in their roster dynamics as they prepare for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The team announced changes affecting their lineup, with notable adjustments in their wide receiver positions.

Rookie wide receiver, who has seen starting action in recent weeks, will be inactive this week due to a quadriceps injury sustained during practice on Thursday. This setback marks a significant change for the Panthers’ offensive setup.

On a positive note, the Panthers welcome back veteran receiver, who returns to action after being sidelined with a hamstring injury suffered in Week 3. He sustained the injury during a long touchdown pass play, marking his absence in subsequent games.

The team’s list of inactive players for Sunday’s game extends to include several others, such as , , , , and . Among these, Johnson is noteworthy as he returns to practice following a concussion sustained in Germany.

For depth purposes, the Panthers have promoted wide receiver and outside linebacker from the practice squad to the active roster.

On the Chiefs’ side, the list of players who will not be participating in the upcoming game has also been released, though specific names were not available at the time of publication.

This lineup shuffle comes as the Panthers continue to integrate player Caleb Farley into the squad. The first-round pick from the Tennessee Titans had a challenging start to his career due to injuries but is gradually being incorporated into the Panthers’ defensive strategies.

Farley, who suffered from ACL and back injuries in his initial NFL seasons, only participated in a limited number of games. Having missed the entire 2023 season, he has appeared in three games this year, tallying five tackles.

Additionally, the Panthers have added defensive end Sam Roberts to their practice squad. The former sixth-round pick by the New England Patriots joins the team following his release after two seasons with limited game appearances.

Tight end Ian Thomas has been placed on injured reserve and will be out for a minimum of four weeks due to his current condition.
