KFC Teams Up with Kraft for Mac & Cheese
In a surprising twist, KFC has partnered with Kraft to create some delicious new dishes that bring together two beloved comfort foods. This summer, Canadian food lovers can look forward to a unique collaboration involving KFC’s famous flavors mixed with Kraft’s iconic mac & cheese.
The campaign, called ‘It’s Finger Lickin’ KD,’ features KFC’s mascot, Colonel Sanders, as he passionately mixes KFC seasoning into a pot of Kraft mac & cheese like it’s a secret recipe. Canadians will be able to try out the new creations starting August 19.
What can you expect? There are three limited-edition items: the KD KFC Original Recipe Flavor Mac & Cheese, which will be available in grocery stores, plus the KD Mac & Cheese Chicken Sandwich and the KFC x KD Mac & Cheese Snacker Wrap, both available at KFC restaurants across Canada.
Brian Neumann, from Kraft Heinz, mentioned how fans have always liked to add their preferred flavors to mac & cheese, and teaming up with KFC takes that to a whole new level. It’s a rare first for both brands to collaborate and create menu items available simultaneously in grocery stores.
To kick off the collaboration, Colonel Sanders will be making appearances at popular spots and grocery stores around Toronto this weekend, dressed in a stylish new version of his classic suit. They hope this fun campaign will get people excited to try these new offerings.
This partnership is a significant move for KFC in Canada, marking its largest brand collaboration to date, showcasing the bold combination of flavors that fans might not have expected but will surely want to try. People can follow both brands on social media to learn more about the collaboration and share their experiences using the hashtag #FingerLickinKD.
