Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has made a bold prediction, suggesting that the Narendra Modi-led NDA government could collapse as early as August due to its perceived weakness. Speaking at an event in Patna marking 28 years of the party’s existence, Yadav urged party workers to be prepared for potential early elections.

Yadav’s statement comes amidst recent claims by the Congress party regarding the diminishing authority of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with speculations of the government teetering on the brink of collapse. Prime Minister Modi, in response, highlighted the rejection of misinformation by voters in the 2024 general elections.

During the event, Tejashwi Yadav, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, hinted at the possibility of early assembly elections in Bihar. He expressed optimism about the formation of the Mahagathbandhan government in the state, regardless of whether elections are held in December 2024 or 2025.

At the gathering, Aurangabad MP and RJD leader in the Lok Sabha, Abhay Kushwaha, symbolically crowned Tejashwi Yadav with a silver crown, underscoring the party’s readiness for any political developments. Lalu Prasad Yadav stressed the importance of party members staying alert and prepared for potential changes.

Following the conclusion of the Parliament session, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh criticized PM Modi in an interview with PTI, emphasizing the emergence of a new opposition group named INDIA. Leaders of the INDIA bloc have pledged to take necessary steps to address public sentiment against the BJP.
