Federico Chiesa Liverpool Transfer News

Liverpool Football Club has made an approach to sign Federico Chiesa from Juventus, signaling their intent to strengthen their squad as the Premier League transfer deadline approaches.

The Reds, under the management of Arne Slot, have commenced the season strongly, winning their first two matches without conceding any goals. Despite this positive start, there is a consensus that further reinforcements are necessary for a serious title challenge.

In addition to their interest in Chiesa, Liverpool is set to finalize a deal for Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia. Personal terms have been agreed on a six-year contract, with a total package worth €35 million established between the clubs. However, Mamardashvili will remain on loan at Valencia for the 2024/25 season before moving to Liverpool.

Chiesa, 26, is entering the final year of his contract with Juventus, making him an appealing target for clubs looking for quality players at a reasonable price. Reports indicate that Juventus is willing to negotiate a transfer fee of approximately €15 million as Chiesa is reportedly eager for a move to the Premier League.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed Liverpool’s recent contact with Juventus regarding Chiesa, who can play on either wing or in a more central attacking role. Chiesa’s previous performances, including nine goals in Serie A last season, highlight his potential contribution to Liverpool’s attacking lineup.

Additionally, Chiesa’s current situation at Juventus appears uncertain as he is not included in new head coach Thiago Motta‘s plans, paving the way for a possible move to Anfield before the transfer window closes.
