Local Soccer Standouts Olivia Audette and Elizabeth Bouchard Head to Canadian Championships U-15F for the First Time
Two rising stars from the local soccer scene, Olivia Audette from Stanbridge East and Elizabeth Bouchard from Brigham, are set for their debut appearance at the upcoming Canadian Championships U-15F. The talented duo will be representing Quebec alongside their club team, Spatial de Saint-Hubert, in Edmonton from August 12 to 16.
Both Audette and Bouchard have previously showcased their skills at the Jeux du Quebec in 2022 and 2023 as part of the Richelieu-Yamaska regional team.
Beginning their soccer journeys at the age of five, Audette kicked off her career in Dunham, while Bouchard started in Cowansville. The two players have progressed through the ranks, playing for Montagnards de Bromont (AA level) and Cosmos de Granby (AAA level) before joining Spatial de Saint-Hubert in September 2023.
Spatial de Saint-Hubert competes in the Premier Line Soccer Juvenile Quebec (PLSJQ) league, leading the standings with an impressive record of 10 wins and 1 loss. They recently clinched a tournament victory in Boston before the start of the regular season and impressed scouts at a showcase event in Laval.
Audette and Bouchard also attend Fadette school in Saint-Hyacinthe, known for its soccer sports-study program. Both will enter their fourth year of secondary school in September and balance academics with intense soccer training, which involves daily commutes from Brigham/Stanbridge East to Saint-Hyacinthe.
Despite their demanding schedules, the young athletes are dedicated to their craft, with summers filled with matches and tournaments, and winters focused on preparations and physical training. Audette’s father, Frederic, mentions her recent interest in watching Euro matches as a rare break from her busy routine.
