Lorraine Kelly Welcomes First Grandchild
Lorraine Kelly has made her return to the ITV screens following a short summer break, bringing with her joyful news of becoming a grandmother for the first time.
The 64-year-old television presenter announced the arrival of her granddaughter over the weekend, expressing how she has been welcomed into the world with immense love.
Kelly’s daughter, Rosie Kelly Smith, gave birth to Billie Kelly Smith-White, born on August 29. Rosie had previously announced her pregnancy and engagement to Steve White earlier this year.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Lorraine shared her excitement, stating: “I have been bursting to share this wonderful news with you! Baby Billie is an angel and I’m so proud of @rosiekellysmith and @stevewhite94 who will be the best parents.”
During her show, Lorraine described Billie as “absolutely beautiful” and noted the child’s characteristics, stating, “she’s a bit of a night owl.” She praised Rosie and Steve for their parenting skills, emphasizing their quick adaptation to parenthood.
Lorraine stated, “Rosie’s great, she’s really taken to it, she’s super organized, she really has taken to it so well, and her Steve is an angel.”
Furthermore, Lorraine expressed gratitude towards the healthcare staff at UCLH hospital, specifically acknowledging the midwives and anaesthetist who assisted in the delivery.
As a proud grandmother, Lorraine conveyed her eagerness to embark on adventures with her granddaughter, expressing the joy that comes with family.
