In an exciting showdown at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Lottie Fry and her horse Glamourdale dazzled the crowd, scoring a fantastic 88.97% in the individual freestyle dressage event. This impressive performance earned them the bronze medal, adding to the growing medal tally for Team GB in equestrian events.

The atmosphere was electric as the competition unfolded. Lottie reflected on the artistry of her and Glamourdale’s routine, noting how he truly comes alive when the music hits. “As soon as the music starts, Glamourdale really dances to it,” she shared, expressing her joy in showcasing their hard work together.

Although Lottie and Glamourdale executed a stunning display, a few minor errors almost cost them a place on the podium. After a long weekend filled with competitions and checks, Lottie couldn’t help but feel proud of Glamourdale’s effort. “Just to be at the Olympics is a massive achievement and a massive dream,” she said.

As the final scores rolled in, Lottie felt a wave of disbelief wash over her. Before she knew it, cheers erupted as everyone realized they had indeed secured bronze, just as the last competitor, Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour, entered the arena. She scored lower than expected, sealing Lottie’s place in history.

Post-competition, Lottie was on cloud nine, overwhelmed by the support from fans and the honor of riding alongside her idols Jessica and Isabell. The experience was no doubt an emotional one, especially with the memory of her late mother, Laura Fry, in her heart. “I think she’s with me all the time, and riding the test with me – I hope she’s proud,” Lottie stated, bringing a personal touch to her Olympic journey.
