Authorities have apprehended a suspect following a terrifying incident in Hainault, East London, where five individuals, including two police officers, sustained injuries in a sword attack. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that emergency responders were swiftly on the scene at Thurlow Gardens after reports of a car being driven into a residence followed by a sword assault. The suspect, a 36-year-old man, is currently in custody, with investigations ongoing.

Witnesses described the chaotic scene as the attacker brandished what appeared to be a samurai sword, causing panic among residents. Eyewitnesses detailed the assailant’s menacing behavior, with locals reporting a series of violent acts targeting unsuspecting individuals in the community. Shocking footage circulated on social media captured the man in a yellow jumper wielding the weapon.
