In a thrilling preseason friendly held at Yankee Stadium in New York City, AC Milan edged out Manchester City with a score of 3-2 on Saturday evening. It was a clash that showcased a number of exciting plays and promising young talent.

The game started off strong for Manchester City, as they were able to take the lead when young midfielder McAtee scored after a clever setup from a teammate just 19 minutes in. City fans were hopeful for a decisive win after this early goal.

However, the tide turned quickly when Italian under-21 forward Colombo struck back for AC Milan, scoring twice in rapid succession with just four minutes between both goals, courtesy of well-placed crosses. This put the Rossoneri ahead and turned the momentum in their favor.

City wasn’t ready to back down, though. Young midfielder McAtee found the equalizer after receiving a perfect cross from substitute Haaland, making it 2-2 early in the second half. Fans on both sides were on the edge of their seats, anticipating the outcome.

With the match looking like it might go to penalties, Marco Nasti entered the scene for Milan and soon clinched the victory for his team with a goal 12 minutes before the final whistle, leaving City to grapple with another high-scoring loss on their U.S. tour.

This friendly also marked the return of Milan star players to the pitch, including a warm welcome for an important player returning from the Copa América, which delighted the crowd in New York.

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola now turns his focus to their next challenge against his former club, while AC Milan prepares for yet another matchup against a Spanish team later this week.
