Manchester United and Chelsea Considering Potential Managerial Changes

Manchester United and Erik ten Hag are set to part ways this summer, amid reports suggesting that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is considering potential replacements for the Dutch manager.

Ten Hag’s tenure at Manchester United has seen a downturn this season, culminating in early exits from the Champions League and the Carabao Cup, along with an eighth-place finish in the Premier League. Despite past successes including a third-place league finish and a Carabao Cup win last season, the current campaign has not met expectations.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has stated that Manchester United will soon separate from Ten Hag, with Mauricio Pochettino and Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna emerging as possible options to fill the managerial role.

According to Di Marzio, Pochettino and De Zerbi are among the contenders, with Pochettino being the preferred choice if McKenna opts for Chelsea instead. Meanwhile, Chelsea, under new ownership, is in search of a youthful coach with Enzo Maresca and Roberto De Zerbi mentioned as potential options should McKenna not join.

The growing uncertainty surrounding Ten Hag’s position has sparked discussions around his potential successors, with names like Sebastian Hoeness and former Leicester boss Jurgen Klopp thrown into the mix.
