In an entertaining pre-season friendly held in Los Angeles, Manchester United faced off against Arsenal over the weekend. It was a match full of excitement where Rasmus Hojlund kicked things off with a goal that put United ahead.

However, the Gunners quickly responded with Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli finding the net, flipping the score to 2-1 in their favor. But the fun didn’t stop there, as this match was part of a special ‘Rivals in Red’ tour.

What makes this tour unique is that it requires a penalty shootout regardless of the final score. So after the final whistle blew, fans were treated to a penalty kicks exhibition.

United ended up winning the shootout 4-3, leaving fans buzzing about the game. A sign at the SoFi Stadium even encouraged everyone to stick around for the penalty kicks, saying, “Please stay after the conclusion of the match regardless of the score to watch tonight’s penalty kicks.”

In addition to the thrilling match, it was a bit of a tough night for United as both Hojlund and new signing Leny Yoro picked up injuries during the game.

Next up, Liverpool is set to take on another game in Philadelphia on Wednesday evening, followed by a match in South Carolina on Saturday night. Meanwhile, Manchester United will face Real Betis before gearing up to clash with Liverpool in the much-anticipated encounter.

The Liverpool vs. United match is already creating a buzz, with tickets for the game at the Williams–Brice Stadium sold out. Fans can expect an intense showdown!

Before heading to their upcoming games, Liverpool enjoyed a bit of open training in Pittsburgh and then headed to Philadelphia, engaging with supporters along the way.
