Manly Sea Eagles Fly High Against Raiders in Dramatic Victory

The match was especially sentimental for the Raiders, as they celebrated Josh Papalii’s milestone of playing 300 games. The atmosphere at GIO Stadium was electric when Papalii scored the first try in a fantastic opening stretch.
Meanwhile, in a different matchup, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles faced the Canberra Raiders again but this time in the Jersey Flegg Cup, where they were defeated 30-10. With only three rounds left, the Sea Eagles are clinging to fifth place with 28 points, closely trailed by Cronulla.
While the Sea Eagles had their moments, they struggled against the Raiders, who took the lead early in the game. Despite Manly’s best efforts, they found themselves trailing with sharp plays from the Raiders.
After a promising start for the Sea Eagles, they managed to even the scoreboard at 4-4 but quickly lost momentum. The Raiders extended their lead and, despite a late try from Manly, secured a comprehensive victory.
The Sea Eagles will now prepare to face the 13th placed Warriors in their next match at home.
