Manning Brothers to Renew Rivalry as 2025 Pro Bowl Coaches
The Manning brothers, Peyton and Eli, are set to face off once again as the coaches for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games, according to an announcement by the NFL. Known for their playful sibling rivalry, the retired football legends will each lead teams representing the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC) in what has become a much-anticipated event for fans and players alike.
Peyton Manning, 48, expressed his enthusiasm for the games in a statement shared with PEOPLE magazine. «The Pro Bowl Games are all about having fun,» he remarked. «It’s always unpredictable, and we get to bring fans into the action and see the NFL’s biggest names compete. And the best part about this year’s games is knowing that my AFC team is going to end Eli’s two-year run of luck with the NFC.»
His brother, Eli Manning, who is 43, also shared his excitement ahead of the event. «I love everything about the Pro Bowl Games,» Eli said. «And getting to hear Peyton complain about losing every year makes it even better.»
Peter O’Reilly, the NFL’s Executive Vice President of Club Business, International, and League Events, is thrilled about the upcoming match-up. «We are thrilled the Mannings are returning as coaches to renew their rivalry,» O’Reilly stated. «Peyton and Eli have been in the lab concocting some amazing new skills competitions that we’ll reveal soon.»
This year’s Pro Bowl Games will feature fan voting to select the rosters for both the NFC and AFC teams. Voting opens on November 25, and 88 players will be chosen to participate in various competitions and a flag football game. Additionally, the event promises a range of family-friendly activities and interactive experiences.
The 2025 Pro Bowl Games are scheduled to kick off on Sunday, February 2, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The games will be broadcast live on ESPN and ABC, continuing the tradition of showcasing top talents in a more relaxed and entertaining context.
