The Marquette University men’s tennis team ended its 2024 fall season with participation in The Zach Barden Memorial Invite, hosted by the University of Toledo. The tournament included teams from Marquette, Toledo, Case Western Reserve University, Denison University, and the University of Northwestern Ohio.

Across singles and doubles play, the Golden Eagles secured a total of five victories during the weekend. Notably, the freshmen on the team displayed significant prowess. One freshman achieved two straight-set victories in singles matches against opponents from Case Western Reserve despite not being named in the report.

Standout player Glebov finished his first fall season impressively, achieving the highest number of singles victories on the team. He secured five wins out of nine matches, showcasing a strong start to his collegiate tennis career.

In doubles, an unnamed duo famously recorded a 6-3 victory over the University of Northwestern Ohio. Another player, whose identity was not disclosed, accumulated the most doubles wins for the Golden Eagles this season, with four victories marking his debut fall performance.

Looking forward, the Marquette women’s tennis team is set to begin their dual season in January, as stated in communications.
